This date in baseball History. 2

1965

In the opening ceremonies of the Astrodome, 24 astronauts threw 24 ceremonial first pitches as the Colt 45's become the Houston Astros and begin playing 'Eighth Wonder of the World'. Mickey Mantle hits the first indoor homer ever in an exhibition game with the Astros hosting the Yankees. President Lyndon Johnson was supposed to throw out the first pitch but arrived late.

The play list.

1."Baseball Song." Do I need to explain?
2."Beer for My Horses." It was made my theme song by my sister, thus I had to put it on.
3. "Mr. Policeman" Great tune, funny song, why not? It is on.
4. "MLB on Fox" Baseball. That is all the season I need to have this song up.
5. "Football Fox Sports" A Football tune that has a lot of memories for a lot of people.
6."Baseball Tonight" It is the song that comes on right before the Astros game starts on ESPN radio. I cannot count how many times I have been waiting for that song to start, while listening to the radio.
7. "In Color" My grandfather flew as a tail gunner during WWII. In this song the grandfather tells his grandson about his friend in the war who is a tail gunner. I thought I might as well put it on the playlist in honor of my grandfather.
